Biomedical research is not a short-term venture. For Minnesota to fully realize the economic value of the Partnership and to successfully compete with other states as a leader in biotechnology and medical genomics, it will require a long-term sustained commitment from Minnesota.
Competition among bioscience initiatives compared to other states is extremely fierce. Since the economic opportunity is so significant, other states are making larger biotech investments than Minnesota’s level of investment.
